Since football fans need something to keep us occupied until draft day in April, I propose a fantasy draft. But this one will be of your top 5 picks of all time, from any era. They can be active or retired, alive or dead, you'll get them in their prime and trained to modern standards. Tell us who you pick and why, and consider including some non-obvious picks to keep it interesting. With that, here's mine:

1. Jerry Rice, WR: Easiest pick IMHO, would be hard to imagine anyone else as top pick. Seens to own every receiving record that exists.

2. Lawrence Taylor, LB. Dude is one scary mofo. Don't think any player influenced the gane more, heck he basically changed how defense is played in the NFL.

3. Tom Brady, QB. 5 Super Bowls and maybe more coming. Won 3, and except for David Tyree's holy shit did you see that "Velcro Catch" would have been 4. Threw 50 TDs when he had Randy Moss slightly off his prime; now imagine a season of Brady to Rice.

4. Reggie White, DE. Sack monster. Would use his rip and hump moves, and if all else failed had the strength to toss a 300 pound dude a couple yards.

5. Bo Jackson, RB. Yeah, I know with the hip and only playing part-time. holy s*** when he did play though. Fastest man ever in the game, and would run people over like they were cardboard.
