you head to p&n and blindly point at the screen.

There are no race car drivers in P&N...not that I'm aware of anyway...

Oh wait...you misunderstood.

If piano players are pianists, then by the same logic, race car drivers are racists.

The login page will load, but nothing after you type in user and password. Same old Fox Fantasy crapola site.

I would have been better off closing my eyes and randomly clicking around the screen to make my picks. Harvick was the only one I picked that didn't crash out.

Think the wreck at the end helped me by letting dillon slide up. Ate it on kenseth early and bayne only gained a couple spots. Hamlin helped though. 🙂

Yeah, it seems like the goal for this year is to always pick good drivers like Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon when they qualify badly, since they'll always somehow make it to the front.

With no limit on the number of starts, it's something that I'll get to do a lot more of this season 🙂

With lose of the captain bonus, picking a high dollar guy is less valuable than before. Picking someone "you know" will be top 5 that would be doubled is great, Piking a top 5 that has a zero or negative position score, and you've got the same score as someone starting 20 and finishing 10.

Now you really need to determine if a guy with a general quality finish record at a certain track had a bad qualification that day or if its a sign of how he'll place that race. And then pick a couple core finishers but with less upside so if your hopefuls do suck that weekend you'll still place a competitive effort.

Damn, forgot to pick a team last week.

This week took Gordon for sure because, even though he got the pole, ran into Danica and has to start a back up car from the very rear. Only problem is the Fox site is showing he started from the front. So do they score him from where he qualified, or where he actually started? If it's the later then I picked poorly.

Ok, what if a driver changes cars. Do you pick the driver as originally listed or pick the car he'll be driving?

For example.
Brett Moffitt was scheduled to drive the 34, and that's how he's listed on the Fox Roster. But today he is racing the 55 as a sub.

So do you think Fox scores the car or scores the racer?

Edit: Fox follows the driver.

I emailed Fox and they got back to me right away. Pretty cool.

Well looks like i'm out. Forgetting one race in the first section probably knocked me out of a chance to win. I've been traveling the last couple of days and missed today's too which makes it a fudge me it's done situation.

Chris forgot one race as well, and he's currently winning this thing.

Actually I liked the challenge of trying to get back up in the points. I was busy that week and i thought my team carried over to the next week, but it didn't. Lesson learned.

Yeah, and I hate you for doing it, because now you're forcing me to make riskier picks from further in the back of the field to catch up in points 😉

Is it just me, or does the new playoff format in the Sprint Cup really suck? You can have a dominant car all season, and get kicked out of the playoffs in the first round because or something stupid like an accident due to a cut tire.

blame kenseth.

Bob you were putting the pressure on the last few weeks. I finally expanded my points lead by a decent margin.

Got some upcoming tracks where its easier for me to pick some drivers that I know do well on those specific tracks.

As for the chase, I like it. They finally got it so you can't just top 10 your way to a championship. I can understand some traditionalist maybe not liking the new format. But I like it that wins mean something. I would probably do away with the elimination aspect of it and I would just run 9 races, if you win then you have a shot at the championship at the last race. If you win multiple races within the 9 races then it gives you 1 bonus point. That way you can have a bad race or two, and it still wont wipe out your whole season. I would also get rid of homestead as the last race of the season. If weather is a concern the build a nice short track in Florida. No cookie cutter D ovals like Chicago, Kansas etc. A California or Michigan type track would also be pretty exciting to watch if they could get a rules package that allowed you to pass and have multiple grooves.

I'm thinking that this might be my last season for fantasy NASCAR. This sport seems to be turning into professional wrestling with everybody wrecking each other out to stay in the "chase".

It's just not all that fun to watch anymore.

Once Dale Jr. retires I will probably be done with watching Nascar altogether. They ruined the sport with their cookie cutter tracks and cars that cant pass each other. Every D shaped superspeedway should be demolished except for Atlanta and Charlotte. Short tracks are a lot more exciting.

I use to watch religiously all through the 90's and early 2000s. Now I just find myself flipping back to watch when NFL is on commercial.
