Here are my starters...

Culpepper, Daunte MIN QB
Jones, Julius DAL RB
Martin, Curtis NYJ RB
Johnson, Chad CIN WR
Gonzalez, Tony KCC WR (We play TEs as WRs)
Vinatieri, Adam NEP PK
Patriots, New England NEP Def

My bench...

Delhomme, CAR QB (Playing NOS this week... I am beginning to second guess starting Daunte)
Arrington, AZC RB (Rookie... thought the other 2 were more solid choices)
Foster, CAR RB (Will be sharing carries with Davis until he gets injured... again)
Mohammed, CHI WR (No so sure about that Orten kid... or the Bears O for that matter)
Boldin, AZC WR (Not so sure yet about Warner at QB...)
Jets Def

How is there even a question here? Chad Johnson is on an entirely other level than your other WRs, Tony Gonzalez... DUH! Foster won't start, and nobody knows how Arrington will play.

Question: With a roster that short, why is your best backup WR Anquan Boldin?
Question 2: With a roster that short, why is Muhsin Muhammad on your team at all?

rofl.

I like your choices, but I might start Delhomme instead of Daunte... depends. Who does Minnesota play?

Daunte plays at the Bucs. That has me scared.

i've got a similar problem. i've got vick and delhomme for qbs. vick is playing philly, while delhomme is playing new orleans. i expect delhomme to do well, but with stephen davis returning and the loss of muhsin muhammad i expect a shift back toward the running game (although delhomme was probably the best fantasy qb last year). but, delhomme is consistent, something i can't say for vick. vick is just as likely to throw 3 interceptions and have an awful day as he is to throw for 2 and have some incredible 40 yard td scramble.

i think my strategy for the beginning of the year is to play whoever is playing the crappier defense.

Have to look at who they are playing against also. DAL is playing @SD. SD's D isn't the greatest, although it's good at stopping the run. Plus they are at home.
Warner hasn't done that bad in the desert (I'm a Cards fan so I may be biased here... :) ). Just have to hope he can keep the other team's D on Boldin and let JJ get the ball. Or the other way around :) Boldin is a good athlete when healthy. Time will tell how JJ is, I bet on him though.
Orton hasn't been as bad at Hutchinson. I think the hot dog vendor is better than Hutchinson though. Mushy can make some plays as long as the ball is close to him.
C-Mart is a beast.
Pats D is good, although I hate them, they'll do you good.
Keep Culpepper in your starting lineup. I know Delhomme has the better matchup, but the Saints are either going to play for pride and slaughter all in their path, or crumple and die. Week 1 will let us know which version of the Saints we all will see, so I'd go with the "safe" matchup of Culpepper there :)

Got any advice for my lineup?

Starters
QB M. Bulger, STL @SF
RB J. Arrington, ARI @NYG
RB L. Tomlinson, SD DAL
WR K. McCardell, SD DAL
WR A. Boldin, ARI @NYG
WR N. Burleson, MIN TB
PK R. Longwell, GB @DET
Def Steelers TEN

Bench
QB S. McNair, TEN @PIT
RB T. Henry, TEN @PIT
RB M. Turner, SD DAL
WR A. Randle El, PIT TEN
WR D. Patten, WAS CHI
TE R. McMichael, MIA DEN
PK N. Kaeding, SD DAL
Def Cardinals @NYG

A TE can take the place of 1 RB or 1 WR in my league.

I would start Delhomme this week over Vick... and I would probably only play VIck against teams with really vulnerable run defenses... or mediocre defenses...

TB had the number one rated pass D last year, and Delhomme plays at NO, which has no passing defense.

They thing that bothers me about CAR is the loss of Mohammed at WR.

If you have to debate whether to start Culpepper, you shouldn't be playing fantasy football.

I was just concerned about the TB D. Also, have you seen what Delhomme did against the Saints last year?

The Saints also improved their LB corps. It looks like a better team this year, but they are just the Saints.

Doesn't matter, you didn't take Culpepper with your first pick to bench him.

It really shouldnt bother you too much. We have Steve Smith, Keary Colbert, Proehl..and Gardner isn't too bad.

I'm a huge Bucs fan and think they have a great D. However, I agree with this. Also, don't forget that Culpepper is playing at home.

Start Culpepper. TB's Defense is AWFUL! This isn't the 2002 season.
