...because people are all stupid. The only way someone will accept or offer a trade is if they get an ass-rapingly huge advantage over the other player. I'm so sick of making balanced trade propositions and then having them flat out rejected because I'm not giving them my star running back for their 2nd string reciever.

That's the way it works in real football, why the hell would it be any different in this case?

Give us an example for one of these "fair" trades? I have refused several trades for one of my receivers in one of my leagues. Let's see I was offered Randy Moss for Ricky Williams recently. Don't think any receiver is worth as much as a running back. Even with Moss's great start. I've turned down Hassleback for Toomer. Didn't need a QB, especially a mediocre one. I was offered Mike Anderson for Andre Johnson. ... on that one.

So what did your trades look like?

I completely agree with you. People don't know what a FAIR trade is. They all want Clinton Portis for Quincy Morgan.

I have offered MANY fair trades in the past and I couldn't tell you the last one that was accepted. I find it is much more rewarding to do some scouting of your own and raid the waiver wire.

So what did your trades look like?

I was sending Steve McNair and D. McCants for Hines Ward and Brian Westbrook. I had 2 top QB's and all his QB's sucked. All he has on his team are recievers. Flat out rejected with no reason. That's where I gave up on trading.

D. McCants is still available in both of my leagues. He's got a few touchdowns, but not many yards and people don't value him too highly. If he has receivers that he likes, you basically offered him McNair for Ward and Westbrook. I'd reject it too. There's a handful of consistent receivers in the league, and Ward is one of them. Westbrook's value is rising fast, and it looks like he's their main option at runningback now. In my league that gives points for return yards, he's invaluable to me. McNair is good, but unless my QBs were absolutely horrible, i wouldn't make that trade.

trades are a lot more common in league with at least 10 teams. People actually haveholes in theor line up they want to fill
