fantasy football payouts, quick advice needed

im commish for the first time this year. the pot is $200 and i stated there will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. how should i distribute the winnings?

And you didn't make everybody agree to payouts in the first place? SUCKERS! Payoffs are now $10 for first, $5 for second, and $1 for third... the rest is your commish fee

That's how I'd run my league.

If the buy-in was $20, I'd say $120 / $60 / $20; in my experience, third-place typically gets the buy-in back and first-place usually gets at least ~2x second-place's pay-out.

I like to throw a bone to the 4th place player too. Even if it's only $10, it's nice to be recognized for making the playoffs. And I don't think 3rd deserves more than 4th. Neither won a playoff game. I tilt heavy towards the champion getting the lion's share.

No thats dumb. 4th place in the Olympics doesn't get crap except to say he was near the top. Your reward for getting into the playoffs is the chance to get the money. Otherwise, 1,2,3 should get money payouts.
