Fantasy Basketball Help

I've been offered a trade and I'm new to Basketball.

I'd be getting: Battier, Shane (GF, SF-Mem)
He'd be getting: Stoudemire, Amare (PF-Pho)

Stoudemire is Injured though and Yahoo! ranks Battier over Stoudemire.

I need a Center, I don't think my draft was too great, but oh well. Any tips or suggestions? And should I accept the trade?
 
Keep Stoudemire. Your team is really lacking rebounders. Battier is too inconsistent IMHO. His minutes vary from night to night while Amare will be consistently 17pts/9rbs when he gets back.

But just another tip, Pat Garrity is supposed to be out for the season or close to it, so you may want to use his roster spot for somebody else. And also, with Amare on the IL, you know you can actually place him on the injured list? Yeah, when setting his position, set him as "IL" and it'll give you an extra roster spot. You only get one IL though, so you can't have both Pat and Amare on it.

I agree with keeping Stoudemire. Battier just isn't the all-around quality player that Stoudemire is. There still is a long way to go in the season, and Stoudemire will take you more places than Battier will.
 
definitely reject the trade.

go to available players and do last week stats and averages and cut and paste the first 25 on there. let's see what we can do for your team.

BTW is this a head to head or roto league?
 
i say drop garrity and pick up kirk hinrich. you also need a center, see if mehmet okur or lorenzen wright or dan gadzuric is available, if not then you're out of luck. also put amare on the IL and pick up jiri welsch, he can play everything from PG-SF right now.

you could also try and trade eddie jones for a center. you have a ton of SG and he would probably bring the best value. he doesn't really provide anything but three's and points and you'll get both from the hinrich and welsch plus you have iverson.
 
i watned Amare but then my friend didn't accept the trade. day or so after he rejected, amare went on the IL.
 
reject the trade, drop garrity, and never fully trust the yahoo player rankings. yahoo rates players based on total stats, not averages. so someone like elton brand who missed 10 games is ranked quite low, even though he's been putting up big numbers recently.
