Fantastic Four: the movie

I'm not much of a comic fan, let alone a fan of ones that get turned into movies (spider-who?)... but news is Jessica Alba has been cast as the Invisible Woman (she better not be invisible). She's on a roll... Into The Blue with Paul Walker coming out soon, Sin City with Bruce Willis being filmed as we speak... and now this is on her slate. Anyway, anyone a fan of Fantastic Four ? I can't imagine many...

Although I do hear great stories about Spiderboy.

Anywho, Fantastic Four is a good franchise. Don't know about Jessica Alba as Sue Richards, but eh, it'll put people in the seats.

her getting casted wasn't official till today so there. I'll get over her when I'm 50.

And the info and link I posted in the other thread already supplied that information.

So, so there.

never really seen her.
i think the FF stories have been really strong lately. i love mark waid.
my original thoughts on these news stories about it were all relating to the comment thats jessica alba was black and, therefore, it would be strange that she was the human torch's sister.
i had no idea jessica alba was black (although, according to my post yesterday she is mexican)

If Sue Richards is a kick-ass character, JA will fit in perfectly as she did it for 2 years on Dark Angel.

Sue Richards was a short blondie with blue eyes as was her brother the Human torch. How on earth is Jessica Alba gonna pull that off?

I hope this movie turns out to be a good one.

Micheal Chikilis is playing Ben Grimm. He is the lead actor on the FX series The Shield. I think he will make a good Thing. 🙂

Yeah, except this isn't Dark Angel, Sue Richards is fair skinned and blonde, and JA is totally wrong for the part. But if Halle Berry can be Catwoman, and Michael Clark Duncan can be Kingpin, both traditionally caucasian characters, then why should anything else be true to the source material. They should cast William Hung as Reed Richards and Eddie Griffin as the Human Torch. Whatever they do, though, the movie will suck.
