Fans not consistently spinning up

Hi Guys,

I have an odd problem. About 75% of the time, the fans in my chassis are not spinning up as the workload on my processors increases. Ultimately, this leads to the processors holding around 99 degrees centigrade and throttling as an alarm blares. The rest of the time, the fans spool up as needed to keep the processors around 60 degrees. Any idea what might be causing this?

This is what I have:

You can go into your BIOS and see what your fan settings are, and change it to performance or balanced performance see if it fixes the issue.

Page: 4-8 in the manual states:

Energy/Performance Bias
Use this feature to select an appropriate fan setting to achieve maximum
system performance (with maximum cooling) or maximum energy efficiency
with maximum power saving). The fan speeds are controlled by the firmware
management via IPMI 2.0. The options are Performance, Balanced
Performance, Balanced Energy, and Energy Efficient.
