[Fans] Nexus vs. CM

Do you want to "bling" your case with LED's? Then you want CM, but if you can't afford to buy Nexus' then go CM without a doubt. People complain because of the orange color, but if you don't have a window who gives a sh!t imo. They are both good though.

Tekjems sells a blue led version of the Yate Loons (rebadged Nexus). It runs at 600rpm faster than the Nexus fan, so it'll be louder. My understanding at SPCR is that the Coolermaster fans are really good, but the Nexus are the absolute quietest fans period. Depends on how much you're concerned with trying to get to a truly silent machine. If yes, kick in the extra bucks, if no, just go with the CM.

I am currently using 2 coolermaster 120`s.......I have nothinmg bad to say about them!!
Plus I can once again hear myself think!!
They are almost totally silent!!

What Shadow said is right on in my book. I think our "perfection" for noiseless computing is similiar. I have both fans Jahn. The Nexus is a hair quieter at ~1000 and to me has better airflow (smoother). At ~700 rpm both are near inaudible. Only turbulence is heard when you put your hand in front or back of it. I'm glad you like those Jedi I thought you would...Bang for the Buck is right! They (CM 42 cfm'rs) are the best in that dept. imo.

They look very similiar to Glacialtechs hmmm....Also similiar specs at the low end...I wonder...anyways tx for posting as I hear very little about these fans. Always interested in user experience w/ fans I know nothing about. 🙂

No prob. At max RPM they're loud, especially the 80mm, but I run them at half or lower, and they stay as quiet as anything else and have a *lot* of airflow. The build quality is also very impressive. I was really surprised by those fans.
