Also, what do you guys recommend is the best way to keep a low level or no noise at all (if possible) from a fan and heatsink setup on the CPU? I guess what am I saying, which brand is the best at cooling with the best low noise effect. Also, is it advisable to get a control panel (I was thinking of a Thermaltake Heatsink&Fan that came with a contol panel)? If so, which brand is good with a control panel? I have a friend who just built his and his sounds like a helicopter!!! I want to try to avoid this :) Thanks...

My Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3400 (Coming on Wed.)
Maxtor 250 GB SATA HD
2-512 DDR 400 Memory Sticks
NEC DVD-R +/- Dual Layer Writer (Coming on Wed.)
DFI LanParty UT nF3 250GB Socket 754 ATX
Video Card (Thinking about it-ATI or nVidia?)
Heatsink and Fan (Looking around)
Monitor (not yet)

Get yourself the biggest heatsink that will fit your case and motherboard, and put a quiet fan on it like a Panaflo L1A. That's how to quietly cool a system without resorting to exotic stuff like peltiers, water blocks or refrigerated cases.

Personally I think this combo works well for most current systems: Thermalright XP90 heatsink and Panasonic Panaflo L1A 80mm fan.
