Fans for a CM 212+

I've been using the above fan on my 212+ for a while now but with the summer heat here in FL I've been thinking of getting something a bit stronger but don't want my rig to get loud. Been looking around and the Scythe GTs seem highly recommended but the price is a bit too much, almost $30 shipped for 1. Are there any other viable alternatives?

That fan has some crazy noise to airflow numbers. Does it really move that much air? Anyways, I have 2 of the fans I linked below in a push pull setup on my antec 620, and they do a good job.

By the way, what kind of temps are you getting now?

For a 25mm depth fan with 33dba, that is pretty common airflow I think, though the tone of the yate probably makes a comfortable fan sound. That price is really good too, you should just get another one.

If it is still getting too hot for you with 2 of those yates on a 212+, then something is wrong with your HSF mount, your case, your OC is too high for air, or you are being overly cautious.

Getting about 44-45 at idle here in Miami Florida.

Maybe I am being too cautious. Its 29C and my idle is at 43C which I suppose is good. I am worried about the heatsinks HDT plate making proper contact with the thermal grease and cpu. Seems like the better performing HS don't use HDT.

I'd probably look for a bigger, better heatsink than. Though if your system is stable during load then you honestly don't need to change anything.

Not only are they quieter, but they actually give me lower load temps at lower RPMs. Still using the Noctuas, while the GTs are sitting in my box o' extra fans. The NF-P12s are also expensive though... might be more worthwhile to just get a bigger HSF.

Wanna sell the GT's to me? The Noctua's are about the same price as the GTs and I'm hoping to find something less expensive.
