Fan's and PS, which plugs?

Quick noob question everyone. Building my first box this weekend. Getting there. Just a quick fan question. Why do my case fans have both a male and female plug. Are they both supposed to be plugged in or just pop on one PSU plug and I'm all set? Any help would be appreciated.

You only need to connect the female plug of the fan to the male plug of the PSU. The male plug is so that you don't lose a molex connector if you use a fan.

Thanks. Does it matter which plugs? Ie: P5 or P6 for fans and another for hard drive, etc?

nope, deosnt matter which plug, their all the same
