This is not exactly what you were looking for, but maybe it will help. As for specific fans and their db rating, you will have to check the webpage of each manufaturer. Each main fan maker (delta, papst, panflo, YS-tech, etc...) seem to make fans that are low air flow/ low DB, med air flow/med db and high air flow/high db models. I am using a YS-tech 80mm that puts out 48.5cfm at 36.9 db, normal conversation is like 68db or something like that, so it is not to bad.
I've been working on reducing the noise level of my systems. It has been a little expensive but so far I found that the Enermax EG465P-VE(FC) (431 w) to be a very quiet power supply. I've gone to the Enermax Ultra-cool 80mm thermo control second fan kit for case fans. I use 3 case fans on most of the systems I have. The exhaust temperature at the power supply (hottest exhaust temp) has been 26.7 C or 80 F. The typical inlet temperature has been 21.5 C or 71 F. The systems are very quiet. I had power supplies from StarTech.com 450 watt Professional ATX installed with some b-flat 80mm case fans and the noise level was unacceptable. The power supplies from StarTech worked just fine and they do have a temperature controlled fan but it is just too loud.
Two of my systems (I have 8 tower systems) are built around ABIT VP-6 motherboards and a third the BE6-II. The graphics card in the BE6-II is GeForce2 Ultra and the card in the VP-6 systems is the ATi Radeon 8500. The cpu's are all 1000 MHZ Intel P-III's, slot 1 for the BE6-II and socket 370's for the VP-6's.
The systems would not run with the generic fans and 300 watt power supplies that came with the full tower cases. Not enough power.
