hey all,

just purchased a antec slk3700amb case with a 120mm fan in the back, the ? is do i need a front fan! my system specs... mobo asus a7n8x, cpu amd 2800/333, corsair 512mb pc2700 and the hard drive is ?

I thought that came with a front fan. I just opened a Sonata and it has two 120s but the front one is slightly hidden. Nice case, huh?

hey gravity,
i guess the sonatra is a little differ. but a sweet case. i have a 120mm placin for the fan up front, but... not included. i almost bought the sonatra, but could'nt pass the deal on this case.

Yeah, I would put a fan in the front. Get a nice quiet one --- unless you are overclocking, you won't need one w/ really high cfm so you can get one that's practically silent.

i have a 3700amb also, and i put a 120 fan in the front (it didn't come with one). i suggest also cutting off the pre fab grills they have on, they seem to me that they block to much air flow, and antec fixed it on their 3700bqe.

hey G-man,
what kinda fan did u get for the front(120mm-make) and the grills in the front inside and or back?both?thanks!

I just bought Antec SLK3700BQE with Papst 4412FGL as my front fan. This 119x119x25mm Papst fan is supposed to be very quiet. The BQE case will not fit a 38mm thick fan in the front. I'll probably replace the Antec fan with this as well to make my PC quieter.

reddog, for the front, i just picked some random one off a site, it didn't matter that much to me at the time. and i didn't put a grill on the front, since the front part is covered anyways. as far as a the back goes, i just made one from the scrap metal i had when i cut out a window from the side.
