off topic question the mobo says ddr2 800 .. is it backward compaitible with pc3200?

I have the K8NGM2-FID with the cnps7000b-alcu and it works fine, it slightly covers the first RAM slot but it's not really a problem, I just installed the RAM first although I'm pretty sure that I could still have slipped it in after the heatsink was on.
and it also has a passively cooled Northbridge chipset

Heidfirst is right the DDR2 (240 Pin) won't work with DDR (184 Pin), it's a different slot altogether, you wouldn't be able to install it

the abovementioned board has all that but it's a 939 board. if you're looking for am2 the MSI K9N Neo-F and the ASUS M2N-E (check out this thread) seem to fit what you're looking for although I don't think that any AM2 motherboard will fit the 7000b, according to Madshrimps the 7000 may fit with a custom bracket.

forgot to mention, i don't want am2 anymore, im gonna use ddr400 ram. So i might stick with the K8NGM2-FID. Is it reliable?

Check out the Thread about it, but so far the only complaint that I have is it's overclockability (or lack thereof), but I knew that when I bought it.

Another possibility is the EPoX EP-9NPA+Ultra which also has a thread here. If you are considering this option then definitely post on that thread and ask about the cooler and all the other questions you asked here cause I have never used that mobo
