I'm about to pull the trigger on a Cyperpower PC Fangbook x7-100 but wanted some feedback before I order.. specs are below:
Configuration
NOTE: This configuration doesn't include any Operation System.
CPU: Intel® Core i7-3630QM Mobile Processor 2.40 GHz 6M Smart Cache, Max Turbo Freq. 3.40 GHz
HDD: 1 TB 5400RPM SATA300 Hard Drive [+7]
MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3-1600 SODIMM Memory [+0] (Corsair Vengeance Gaming)
MOTHERBOARD: Intel HM77 Express Chipset Mainboard
SOUND: Built-in 3D Premium Surround Sound
VIDEO: NVIDIA GTX 675MX 4GB PCIe Video (NB-FANGBOOK-675)
Grand Total: $1259.30 Shipped
The second HDD bay will be immediately filled with a Samsung 840 250gb that I purchased from newegg during the $150 sale the other morning that will be receiving a FRESH install of windows 8. So, I wanted to ask if I should change the 1tb hdd for a 750gb 7200rpm hdd instead. It will be pretty much used for photos and videos, guess it may speed up my lightroom processing a bit?
I also plan to snag up 2x4gb more RAM on my own since it supports 4 sticks and it's significantly cheaper to add it myself.
So, what do we think of the build and purchase price?
Thanks
