fanboyism == GT5:P vs GRID

The video is right about the damage in GT5 though. I mean the part where there is a collision between two cars and one car just goes flying is just wrong for a game that supposed to be a simulation.

there's going to be damage in GT5, finally. .... Whenever that releases.

edit: I must say... I think I need to download the Grid demo.

They are all arcade racers; none of them are simulations except for a couple of the PC racing games. Bit yes, no damage is kind of lame, even some really old console race games did much better than GT5 in that regard.

I think it's stealth marketing, and not a fanboy. The game isn't even out yet. Have all those video clips they showed been released before?

Well, I'm sold!

I concur.

Honestly, Fuk GT5. Grid is gonna be I think even better than ridge racer. Whoopiee. Honestly GT5 is certainly more "Accurate", but dang, is it slow or wha. Arcade Racer FTW, if i want to drive a real car, i got to the tracks.

I'd sure hope so. 😛

Blame the lack of Damage on Car Companies who think that its somehow going to lower sales

Why do people keep saying this? Have you played Forza 2?

Do both games have the exact same line-up? The GT devs have said all along that they wouldn't do damage modeling unless (1) they could do it accurately and (2) it could be applied to every car in the game. So even if one manufacturer refused, they wouldn't do it.

If there is a brand that is not on that list that refuses to let them show damage on their car, I think they'd be better off excluding that company rather than excluding damage.

Anyway, I thought damage WAS going to be a feature of GT5? It may not be in Prologue yet, Prologue is a work in progress. I thought car damage was one of the features they were going to add to it later.

It is. It's going to be added later.

Then I think we're wasting our time discussing why they haven't included it. :laugh:

I agree with the sentiment that this is likely to be guerrilla marketing. And I think it's a fantastic idea.
