FAN, TAN, etc.

I'm seeing these energy ETF's (FAN, TAN, etc.) at fairly low prices.

Just a long shot, but aren't these almost a risk-free investment? Isn't it obvious that wind and solar power are the waves of the future? I guess no investment is risk-free, but for long term investing, why not?

I propose this thread for those more experienced than I: what are the positives and negatives?

If they were truly risk-free, then their returns would be comparable to treasury bills or some other risk-free investment.

Do you really think you have some insight into this industry that no one else has?

Risk free = Return free but...

TAN ETF has a good shot for a rally later this year, especially if FSLR continues to deliver.
