Fan speed software

i'm looking for some software that will monitor and automatically control the speed of the following fans in my system:

1. CPU fan (amd x2 3800+)
2. Northbridge fan (msi k8n neo4-f)
3. video card fan (ati x1900xtx)

my goal is to run all these fans at very low RPMs unless the temperature is high enough to warrant it. as it is now, the CPU fan defaults to 100% at all times (which is too loud) and the video card fan is a bit too high during idle usage.

i tried SpeedFan but the interface is *terrible*, so I had trouble figuring out how to have it manage the fan speeds. on top of that, it doesn't seem to do anything with the vga fan. my motherboard's software is terrible, so that hasn't helped either.

Welp, I've used SpeedFan for years and posit that putting the effort into figgering it out is well worth it. Doesn't AMD offer such software? What about MSI? Otherwise have you checked BIOS/CMOS Setup options? It is possible the NB fan is not even required or at worst could be replaced with a proper heat-sink.

The GPU fan may be controllable via the CCC else ATI Tray Tools, ATITool, or RivaTuner.

Usually mobo maker includes a utility for fan speed control just like Gigabyte has the I-Cool and also in the biod. You might want to check these first before delving on a third party software.
