Fan running loud, cpu temp high?

My computer's been running loud for the past few days since I moved (2 hour drive, maybe it was damaged somehow?). I downloaded a core-temperature monitoring program and it said the temperature was at 58 C.

edit: This is under minimal workload for the cpu, just internet browsing. Task manager confirms cpus are at like 10% workload.

I have a Phenom 9850 BE, stock fan, some $80 mobo and no overclock. Is this temperature normal? I haven't cleaned the fan in a year, is that too long and is it the likely problem? It is really really loud right now.

Does that show only 3 cores running?

Try downloading HWMonitor & see what temp readings that gives you.

To the chart your showing it does show 4 cores (Freq 0 - 3)

That temp is high, stock fan 100% load I didn't even hit 55C at stock speeds, and about 63C overclocked to 3.0Ghz.

I would remount your cpu cooler, also check you cable management and airflow, these things could have been messed up during the move.

Yes, get some compressed air and blow out all the dust from the CPU heatsink & fan, GPU heatsink & fan and all the case fans. If it looks kind of dusty, bring it outside first before blowing it out or else all that dust will be in your room. While you're in there, make sure the heatsink is still clipped on all the way, nothing is touching the fan and all the fan blades are still attached.
