fan replacement help on geforce 3 ti200

so my fan's crapping out on me and i need to replace the fan. does anyone know which hsf is the best to replace my geforce 3 ti200 card?

so i've done some research and the hsf's that stand out are thermaltake a1178 (crystal orb) and the vantec iceberg 4 pro. can anyone vouch for either one and give me a suggestion? also, are zalman's any good? thanks...
 
i had a crystal orb on my old ti200.. worked beautifullly.. u can overclock like a beast. i reccomend one from experience
 
most of the coolers from TT (thermaltake) are decent.

im using a G4 cooler, these are also awsome for keeping the core cool.
 
I had (well, still do, but it's not in the machine any more) a Crystal Orb on my ti200 after my stock HSF crapped out on me. It was a super easy install, and did a great job of cooling. I ran the card at 220/500 for nearly 2 years, until I recently replaced it with my 9600 Pro.

The Iceberq's are nice; quality is good and they are quiet. What I did on a Ti200 (w/bad fan) I had, was to just remove the old fan and screw a 486 fan to the heatsink. If you can't use screws, silicone adhesive works well.
 
My fan went out on my TI 200 went to Comp USA picked up thier Chipset cooler kit for $9.99 and just attached the fan from my kit to my TI 200 HS. I wanted a quick and cheap way since I was upgrading soon and that fit the bill.

put an 80mm case fan on the top of it, held by rubber bands. voltage mod to 7v, completely silent.

yeah i realize that its a POS card, but since i don't play games on my PC anymore, i don't think its necessary for me to spend $200+ on a new video card when it'll only cost me $20 for a new hsf.

thanks for your input tho... i just might just use one of my two case fans.

also, thanks everyone else for your input. i guess the crystal orb is the way to go then.

You are a POS. This guy asked for some advice, not a review and assessment of his HW. If you consider spending a few bucks to keep a decent video card running then you are an arrogant idiot who has too much of mommy's money to spend. When the fans went out on my GF2 GTS and GF3 Ti200 I replaced them both with Thermaltake video coolers I got from Fry's for around $7 each. These cards are still in use, just not in my primary machine. They are still decent cards if you don't expect too much from them in the newest games. I played Call of Duty on an XP2000+ with my GF3 Ti200 becasue that is the PC at my lake house and I bought the game while there on vacation. Game was awesome and played quite nicely.

I played COD for the first time tonight it blew me away, the graphics, realism, the sound the weapons, etc totally awesome!

May be P.O.S. compared to many new cards out today, But it's still been chuggin' right through some of the newer games out there for me(Max Payne2, Jedi academy,COD).

first of all, did you even read my post? He has an old card. by today's standards it's a POS. that was not an attack of someone's character. i stated that I ALSO HAVE A POS card.

regarding having too much of mommy's money. if you look at the link i posted, you will see that i took a case fan and stuck it onto my existing radeon 8500. no one's going to argue that that's the cheapest solution possible. i am waiting until the spring to buy a card like many others on here, because i unfortunately, do not have mommy's money to spend. in case that's what matsuhisa was going to do, a bandaid job on the card fan would be the best way to get through 3 months.

i can see how you mistook my original comments, but i think you still went a little overboard with your reply.
next time why don't you exercise some self restraint.

Do not laugh at the GF3ti200, its still one of the best releases of Nvidia. The titanium series is considered by most reviewers as the best performing cards out there. STILL!
All these GF FX cards out now are being outperformed by the ti cards. I know, i have a GFfx5600, 5200 and 5700 and believe me, im still using the GF3ti200.
