i just bought the zalman cnps7700 from newegg. i understand it's huge but i checked their website to make sure that it was compatible with my mobo, the asus k8n-e deluxe (it was). i suggest that you check compatabilty before you decide what you want.
i was just wondering..... my case is the thermaltake tsunami with window and 9cm fan. the fan is blowing air at the cpu. the zalman 7700 blows air right back. does this cause some kind of airflow problem?

I was thinking of going towards one of the Zalman 7000A-AlCu, however when I checked their compatibility with my mobo (MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum) on their website. It Said the following:
" Compatible when not using ZM80(A/C/D)-HP together!"
I have no ideas what a ZM80(A/C/D)-HP is. Would you guys still recommend the Zalman?
lt me put it this way, i went to the digital life convention in new york a couble of months back and every pc with a view of the interior had a zalman fan (and they were not all from the same people). ziff-davis had a nice looking machine and the center of attention was that fan (and the ati x800xp plat.).
I am not questioning the fan itself. What I am questioning is whether I sould buy it or not in liu of the fact that the company says that it is not always compatible with my mobo(Compatible when not using ZM80(A/C/D)-HP together).
I have the Neo2 Board and that Zelman HSF. Works great. It fits but it almost touches both the AGP card.. the RAM and the chipset fan.. almost though... not quite! LOL> Works nice and very quiet.
