Fan Placement in Antec 1040 case

I've got 4 fans to place in my 1040:
2 stock 80x25 Antec (~30 cfm, supposedly?)
2 YS-Tech 48.5cfm 80 x 25 (37dbA each).

Then there's the PS fan, and the Alpha/Ys-Tech HSF.\

How should I arrange all the fans?

Per someone else's post, I'm planning on covering the intake grilles with pantyhose (the sheer, not heavy-duty variety) for filtering. Other than that, I don't know whether or not to place the YS's up front, or have 1 on each end and try to get even airflow?

Advice? Negative/positive pressure? Does it really matter with this case?

I personally would put the stronger fans in the back blowing out and the weaker, stock fans in the front blowing in. That seems to be
the general consensus for setting up case fans and has worked the best for me in the past.

You can use pantyhose or some other filter if you want just make sure to check it from time to time so that it dosen't get 'full' for junk and
reduce your airflow.

i would put the strong fans w/ filters in the front. this way less air will come in from your cd/dvd-rom and cd-rw drives. you don't want them fill with dust inside.

Yup, positive air pressure is best, since it will keep air from being sucked into the little cracks that you dont want to waste time cleaning. Air filters are a big waste of time in my case, and they're not very aesthetic :) The PS should not count in your airflow calculations unless the fan is very powerful. Most PSs have a weak fan that is further crippled with thermistors :D

Just try it all ways and go with what gives you the best temperatures and the least amount of noise. For some odd reason, I think the best combination will be one of each in front and back, with the YS-Techs being in the higher position. Honestly, as easy as fans are to move around in the Antec, I don't know why you wouldn't want to juggle fans to find the best combo.

on my Antec 1030 I cut a section from a normal house A/C filter, removed front bessel and placed it over front fans and replaced the front bessel. You will never know it's there and it has helped keep out alot of dust and cat hair from the family pet.
