Hello =) I have an Asus Geforce 2 GTS. The fan on it decided to die tonight, and well. I have no clue how I would go about replacing it. Would it be possible for one of you guys to show me where I could order a new fan and instruction on how to install it?

On the fan it says the following:

COOLER
DC 12V 0.12A

Thanks in advanced =)

i dont' think it would matter much if you used a different fan. try newegg.com.

get the smallest fan (or near size) and make it mount. btw, check you cables make sure the fan is really dead.

40 mm should fit, .12A if you want to play it safe. they do make after-market vid card coolers

buy a fan, either online or from a bm store. super glue the sucker to it. doesn't matter where it gets its power from, so plug into powersupply.

that or if your cases is well ventilated, cut a hole in the side, mount an inlet 80-90mm fan over the video card area and cool your case and vid card at the same time. thats what i did🙂

I had a similar thing happen to my Creative GF2 GTS. It started rattling like crazy. Here's what I did:

I had an old drive cooler (one of the ones with the little fans that sits in a 5 1/2" bay), and I took the fans off of it. There were 2 fans wired together. I just screwed one of them into the heatsink on my GF2 (took a bit of force but whatever), and I did the same with the other fan but on the heatsink for the northbridge chip on my mobo. Both fans work perfectly for me, do a better job than what was on there before, and are quieter too. 🙂
