fan on the north bridge?

I would like to know if it's worth to have a fan on the north bridge heatsink, my mother a MSI K7T Turbo come with a little HS withouy fan, i put a Heatsink like that but ith a fan, but now i'm geting tired of the noise, I know that putting the fan out won't burn it but should i keepit fot stability reasons?

The machine in my sig had an issue with hitting that 200fsb, just wouldn't be stable. Had done everything to get it there but just wouldn't go... so, figured it was the northbridge. Pulled the stock NBhsf and put on the Zalman passive one, using AS3. Put it at it's current settings in the sig and solid as a rock. Haven't bothered pushing it much further yet.... letting it settle in. But did quite nicely without the fan on the NB.

If I was going to buy a chipset cooler for my northbridge what would you consider that I get? The passive one I have right now works well but I just want to change it mostly for cosmetic reasons but I also want a better performing one too.
