I have an asus A7V133(KT133a) motherboard. I looked in my case today an noticed that my fan on the north bridge had stoped working. Should I be worried?
If this will cause problems (i.e. hardware faliure) is it possible to get a new fan or is there some sort of heatsink I can attach. Thanks

-JoH

PS. I have noticed some stability issues.

The same thing happened to mine (same motherboard). I dropped Asus some email about it but never heard back. I ended up just ripping the fan off and I have been running fine without any problems for the past 6+ months.

If you aren't overclocking, I dont think you need the fan at all since many nortbridge chipsets use a passive HS anyway. Its been my policy to rip off the chipset fans since their advent and have never had any stability problem because of it. Just rip off the fan and enjoy a lil' bit more quiet.

Um, I O/C with my EpOx and all the N. Bridge has is a dainty passive HS. You should be fine, just don't get too crazy until you get the fan fixed.
