My case has a fan blowing out on the back and spots in the front for an 80mm and one spot at the front bottom for a 120mm. Both have adequate venting and the case sits up on legs so their is room for airflow under it. If I can only get one which would you suggest - 80mm front or 120mm bottom?

It depends on where your case sits. If it sits on the floor, you may want to go with the front fan as the bottom fan may suck up all kinds of nasties. In either case I would recommend some sort of intake filtering. You also didn't elaborate on the other fans in your case. This may be important for us to decide how to best balance intake/outflow.

Hmm I've never seen a case with a fan on the underside. Can you link me?

I don't think he meant at the bottom, bottom. He meant bottom of the front panel...where most intake fans are. However that does raise an intresting question. Would an intake at the bottom of the case do any good? It would have to be filtered as you would be sucking in dust like a mad man. Hrmmm... maybe I should go get my dremel....

oh that gives me another idea...maybe I will mount my 3X120MM rad at the base of my new case.... hrmmmm. Eh maybe not... I would need to duct the hot air away from the case at that point....
