Fan on AC Silencer 5 Rev. 3 doesn't start

I got the AC Silencer 5 (Rev. 3) and stuck it on my 6800GT, and the two pin cable is plugged into the fan port, and the 6 pin cable from the power supply is plugged in to the video card... only the fan doesn't start. Oh.

There's a 4 pin cable attached to the fan too, although I searched the boards here and there was a recall on some units because of problems with the 4 pin cable, and this was one of the first out when it was released.

I wonder if anyone had a problem with the 2 pin connector? I'm living in New Zealand now so sending it back isn't really an option... any recommendations of things to try before I put the original cooler back on though?

Thanks!

Hmm, I plugged the old cooler in just to check it'd work still, and surprisingly it didn't turn on. The plug on the video card must be damaged. So I stripped the wires coming from the new cooler and attached them to a 12V line... and it goes great now. Phew!!
