Fan not working on EVGA 560 GTX

I've been getting hard reboots on my computer, (screen goes black, power stays on, have to do a hard reset). and upon loading windows, i get an error that goes along the lines of "locale id 1033 BCCODE 116" - looking htis up, I find it's a graphics card problem - usually related to the driver or overheating.

I check, and the fan is indeed not spinning. Curiously enough though, it starts to spin a few rotations as soon as I hit the power button, but that's it.

Are there any easy fixes for this, other than an actual fan replacement?

This happened to a 7900 GT of mine. I would use a can of compressed air to spool the fan and it would continue to spin, but as the card aged it would need more and more assistance.

You will want to get the card replaced. EVGA will give you a refurb, but it will be a thoroughly inspected refurb.

Yes, you buy it with money. EVGA does not give you retail-new cards in exchange for your broken one.

I've gotten cards replaced by EVGA that were either new or clean enough refurbs that I couldn't tell the difference. Whatever they send you it will carry the same warranty as your original card, so there really isn't anything to worry about.
