fan mounting?

The side fan on my case fell off when I was driving to school (tower was in back seat), have 3 of the 4 screws (not sure where 4th is but it is not in the case) but they don?t bite onto anything as the fan does not seem to have grooves in it. Any suggestions on how to remount the fan would be appreciated. Screws come out about 1/4 centimeter from fan base so maybe a small bolt?
