A while back i found an article on how to splice fan wires to add a speed control device. anyone have any articljavascript:securelink('FTVAR_MESSAGETEXTFRM');
Insert https linkes like this? I've been looking for days now and i just can't seem to find it. every time i type in fan mod, i get those stupid "mods" that are just plug and play. sorry, to me that's not modding, its lame.

anyway, any help would be great. i know its supposedly simply, just add in some sort of nob that limits electrical flow, but i don't know enough about it to want to just start doing it. any pointers in the right direction are greatly appriciated.

if i eventually come across it, I'll post it.

doh.......

ok, so just as i did this up, i did one more search, and i found it. since others might be interested in this simple and fun mod, here it is.

There are lots of different ways to got about adjusting fan speed. My suggestion is to either do the 7 or 5 volt mod, or get a fanbus. I receintly bought a Sunbeam Rheobus and love it. It uses adjustable rheostats on each channel so you don't have to worry about clicking noises which often occur when using a software based fan control. It has lots of capacity so you can chain your fans together and not worry about burning it out. I paid all of $20 for it from jab-tech.com.

Just my $.02
