I test my AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (S939) last night to run while I remove the Fan connector from the Motherboard....Is entered Windows XP normally, w/o a fan it uses its Cool n Quiet feature because I was doing nothing...I was observing the Temperature using my MSI's Core Center and it barely hits 70 'C when doing nothing, it runs 50 'C above...when I started playing Half-Life 2, thats when it starts to increase the temperature reaching almost 60 'C in 10 minutes...I move the Core Center's Overheating Protection down from 70 'C to 55 'C and it started to sound the alarm and ask to Shutdown....
