Is the fan that comes with the retail athalon acceptable for use with my 6035 or should I spring the $15 for a different one ? My athalon should be here this week. If not, which fan should I choose ?

Is it a 60mm fan? If not, better pick one up. If you don't mind a bit of noise, the YS Tech 27cfm fan is a nice one... dual ball bearings and a long lifespan. If you want quiet, a 60mm Panaflo L1A from teamawe.com would be very quiet but at about half the airflow. How fast is your rig, anyway?

if its a 900 athlon or higher, then the fan is fine. It should be the delta 60x10mm ~20CFM fan, and will work on the pal...

yeah, the fna is fine, but you may need to get something to space out the screws(they are designed for 60x25mm fans)

Yeh, don't cut the screws, they're hell to find. Use tubular plastic spacers above the fan. Try the shack or a hardware store.

Do not cut the screw whatever you do. I have looked everywhere I can think of and the only response I have ever gotten is "I don't have any idea where you would get something like that". Lowe's, Home Depot, local mom & pop hardware store all the same response. So if anyone does know where to get them tell me.
