trying to decide a fan for my XP-90. main consideration is the fan shld not be too loud. was looking at reviews the default fan recommended by thermalright but its too LOUD!
did some research and have narrowed it down to the following
thermaltake SILENT CAT 9 52CFM @21dba
any PANAFLO 92mm fan
or vantec stealth
or any other recommendations.

My Rig: AMD 64 3000+ , DFI NF3 250 LAN Party,1.5gb corsair 2.5CAS DDR 400, 120Gb SATA, 9600Pro, Raidmax 420W PSU case

The SilenX 92mm moves 36CFM at only 14dBA. Will that be enough for you.

If you have a fan controller, the Vantec Tornado 80mm can move up to 84 CFM, but at this level its a whopping 55 dBA.

Otherwise, the Silent Cat 9 looks good.

Vantec and ThermalTake fans are crap. The CFM and dBA numbers they publish are like pulled out of their rear end. Same with SilenX (but their fans aren't that crappy though, but expensive still)

ThermalRight's recommended fan is the Panaflo (M), just go for a Panaflo (L) then. the Low version spins at 2100RPM which is okay for noise.

Get a fan bus to slow it down when you're sitting quietly and speed it up when you are gaming/etc. when you won't hear it anyway. Best of both worlds for less than $20.
