Is there really that much difference between different brands of, say, 80MM fans?? And if so, are Antec fans any good??
 
Yes, there are big differences of different brands. Some brands are quieter, push more air, last longer, have different bearings than other fans. Panaflo makes some of the best fans IMHO.

Yes there can be a big diference between different brand of FANs:
The followings vary (sometime much):
- CFM.
- reliability and quality (it must not vibrate !!! ).
- sound (high pitch) comming from the motor or only the sound of air movement. For
me this is the most important criteria.

I don't know the Antec, sorry.
Panaflo and Sunon are ok.

If you want extream cooling or silence, go for high-quality fans
Otherwise, Antec is good enough, I think...
 
yes, they do make a difference. noise levels(dBa)/CFM ratios being the biggest considerations.

yea there are differences, brand really don't matter, but the cfm and dbl is the important part to check out. antec isn't that bad, but i like sunons 80mm
