Fan Died On 9800 Pro - Dead AGP Slot?

The other day I came to my PC and the screen was just black. After checking everything I opened the case and the fan of the 9800 Pro was sitting on the sound card.

The HSf was burning hot. After letting it cool off it still didn't work. I tried an old 8500 in it and no picture either. Light doesn't turn green on monitor, nothing at all.

Could the heat from the 9800 Pro with no fan have harmed the AGP slot?

Probably not, when you try to boot with either card in do you hear any beep codes? Do you get a POST beep?

No beeps, no nothing. Also cleared the CMOS. Gonna try a 3rd AGP card just in case.

You could've fried your motherboard from the extreme heat.
