"Fan-cooled" Mice

Do these things really work. I am trying to get into PC gaming and was just wondering if these things are as neat as they look. Also, can you tell a difference in gaming when you use a regualr mouse as opposed to the fan cooled mouse? Are they the same performance wise?
 
Are these the ones that have air holes and it puts out a breeze?

My friend has one because his hand sweats alot. It works OK.
 
I have used one and I have sweaty palms. While it does help, if your serious about gaming your giving up a lot of resolution. My final solution is MX500/Boomslang + Towel, and it works just as well.

I got a Nyko Airflo PC controller and its okay. I'd replace the fan with a Panaflo if I could but its not bad
