The Twin Frozer on my video card (see sig) is just kind of a nuisance. I have it set to high fan speed, and is still only a whisper...one of the best investment I have made in a while. I don't need it though, and it just hangs down in the bottom of my case.

Would it be a big deal if I just cut the 2 white wires and removed it? By big deal, I mean would it shut my fans off, or lower the speed?

Thanks...I know it sounds petty, but I don't need/want the extra "clutter".

Huh? Can you post a pic of what you're talking about. The Twin Frozr coolers that I'm familiar with are the stock coolers that come with MSI GPUs. You definitely don't want to remove it.

Pic below...circled in red. It's NOT REALLY that big of a deal...just makes it look cluttered.

WARNING: Picture is HUGE when opened :)

I would put it into a rear slot, but it is really loose there. The twin frozr was one of the "do it yourself" jobs. No shroud...and like I said, even at 100% it is deadly SILENT...just feint whisper if anything at all.

Oh ok, I understand now. I was thinking that you had a cooler more like this.

Yes you can just cut the fan controller off. You will need to splice ends of the two white wires together though, otherwise the fan won't run at all.
