My case is a Thermaltake Tsunami Dream. The 5.25" bay is screwless. Posts on side rails stick into the places on 5/25" drives where screws normally go, and then the whole contraption slides into a bay and snaps in place.
This poses a problem for most fan controllers, as they are not very deep. They usually are not deep enough for the second post on the guide rail. The result is that the fan controller does not slide into place very well.
Before I knew about this problem, I bought a Sunbeam 20-in-1 that included USB and all sorts of other controls along with two fan controls. Don't get me started on how many problems it had.
Then I ordered the Zalman. It almost snaps in place acceptably. The problem is the buttons stick out just a little too much. If I close the door all the way, one side of of the controllers gets shoved out of the track and into the case.
How have others handled fan controllers in screwless cases? IS there one that works well and stays put in a screwless case?
TIA,
Phil
