Hey all,
I recently decided to buy a new 120mm fan to replace the one on my Ninja Rev B. I read on Anandtech that they had replaced the stock 120 fan with a SilenX Ixtrema Pro 120mm 14DB 72CF fan.

I was shocked when I was at my local computer store to find out that they actually carry this line. I quickly snatched one up and went home to install it.

My problem is that when I opened the box... this fan is HUGE in 'thickness". Instead of the normal 25mm thick it's 38mm. As a result the Fan clips I have that allow you to attach the fan to the Ninja simply wont stretch far enough to fit.

Anyhow have any ideas what I can do? Or are there places that sell the Fan clips for larger thicker 120mm fans?
This is the normal fan clips you can order:

But again these are made for normal 25mm thick fans. Sigh.

See my reply in the other thread you dug up. Besides what I said there, you can cut away some of the corner bridges if needed.
