Idiocracy. The parents should be shot. Those kids will probably go no where.

On what grounds do you base that opinion?

They're stuck at home helping with the children.

I agree... there's no good reason to have that many kids, its ridiculous. Say what you will about my opinion, but its is my opinion.

A Rancho Cordova family celebrated the birth of their 17th child last week, making the Chernenkos among the nation's largest families with biological children.

There is also an Arkansas family with 16 kids too. I cant imagine how the wife feel with giving birth to 17 kids.

Actually, the Arkansas mom have another kid on July 27.

So having the 17 become orphans is the better choice?

I just looked up the average family size per state and am shocked that Wisconsin is fairly know. I know quite a few people with 6-8 siblings.

Not to be stereotypical, but are they Mormon?

read the article.

"Vladimir and Zynaida Chernenko's children range in age from 22-year-old Sergey to 1-week-old David. Eleven of the children were born in the Ukraine, before the family moved to the U.S."

so i doubt very much they are Mormon.

IF they can afford all of those then fine great if you want a big family and can afford it more power to you.

On the arkansas family, the mother is 40 right now and she has been giving birth from 21. So basically, the mom is permanently pregnant from 21 years old.

How can you possible spread your love among 17 kids? Seems rather selfish

oh i dunno, how many kids in a classroom? one teacher can care, love, have concern for and teach that amount of kids per day.

Comparing a teacher's love of teaching to a parent's love is stretching it VERY far...

This is even taking into account that teachers are becoming babysitters these days

Last i heard, the smaller the classroom, the greater the benefit to the students...
