I love how cell phone contracts are clear as mud!

Anyways, I tried TMobile and it is just not good enough out in the boonies so looks like I am stuck with ATT or Verizon (no MVNO because we need the roaming).

From what I can tell, ATT has a 7GB shared plan for 3 lines for $120 right now, and we can bring our own devices.

I cannot tell what is happening at Verizon with BYOD? Do you get on the edge program? Looks like around $130 for 3 phones and 8GB data? Any other fees?

Thanks for any clarification!

Cricket? 3 lines for around $80. 2.5 gig data per line. Uses AT&T network.

Crickets don't roam, though.

I don't think there's a good deal on Verizon for family lines. Their single line option used to be good, but I don't think it is anymore. I'm not extremely familiar with the Edge program, although it seems to be similar with the AT&T Next program. It is definitely not the way to go if you want to BYOD.

FYI check to see if you get any kind of corporate/education discounts.

I actually like the mobile share plans overall (still a little pricey, but anything to get me out of contracts). With AT&T 10GB shared plans and above the $40/line contract price is $15/line off-contract. Then you can purchase your own phone or just their Next program essentially an interest-free loan.

I think Verizon prices are similar now.

are your phones tmobile phones with wifi calling? The wifi calling feature makes it almost moot where I am. My experience with tmobile is 10x better with their phone and a phone with the supported bands. I tried a bunch of roms and really like them but the wifi calling is too good to pass up. I've had it in the middle of nowhere, not even att or verizon got coverage and the wifi calling saved my ass, calls and text go over wifi calling.

Unless Verizon offers better coverage in your area I vote for ATT. All in all similar coverage. Easier time changing phones and seem to offer better on going data bonuses of late. But Verizon seriously ticked me off so I may be a bit biases.
