OK so maybe it's a bit of an eyesore but nobody will steal it.

Nobody would steal it anyways. Only mentally ill nutjobs steal or deface campaign signs.

Touché. But if two mentally ill nutjobs scream at each other in a cesspool that I neither see nor hear, did it really happen? ;)
Your existence is not a required for the two nutjobs activities to exist. This isn't about you. LOL

Fuck hoas. While my lawyer was fighting their nonsense, the president would get a BETO sign salted in his yard one night.

The Chesterfield Community Association said Thursday that its “rules are consistent with state law and Section 202.009 of the Texas Property Code, in that it prohibits political signs that are attached to plant material. The association provided an owner a notice letter giving them an opportunity to cure their violation,” KTRK reports.
i forsee the campaign giving them a giant BETO sign or 100+ lawn signs on stakes

i really really want to see this notice lol.
Bennett described the violation notice she received as confusing and “clearly written in a fit of rage.”

Right.

Google tells me he's a democrat. I find it unusual that my daily democrat/leftwing media (Colbert, Daily Show, Bill Maher, etc..) hasnt mentioned him once. Hence i thought it was an acronym and not a person.

He’s running against Ted ‘everyone in the senate hates him but he’ll probably win anyway’ Cruz.

In my HOA, from my unofficial sampling, there’s a knot of 8-10 houses with Ted Cruz signs and about an equal number of Beto signs spread throughout the neighborhood.

No but seriously, what purpose does putting up a campaign sign in someones yard serve as anyhow?

Like someone is going to read it and you will convert them? Hell, maybe it has an opposite affect and because you put up; the sign it annoyed them enough to vote for the opposition.

Honestly at the end of the day, I just simply don't care about the political stance of my neighbors.

There's probably something to be said for brand recognition. It's nice to think people form reasoned opinions after researching the positions of all available candidates. Same as it's nice to think there's a loving god looking after my well being. The sad truth is most people vote their party, and many of the unaffiliated can be swung by "I've seen that name before". Also, there's no god. Welcome to America.

The idea of an authority telling you what you can do to your own lawn is completely absurd. Yeah it's an eye sore, but it's their property and they should be able to do whatever the hell they want.

Really if it was not for the whole "eye sore" complaints front lawns could be used for more things. Even in non HOAs there tends to be lot of stupid rules. Like I always wanted to put a solar array on my front lawn, but I don't think that would be allowed even though I'm not in a HOA. Cities tend to be super strict about structures especially on front laws. Plenty of stories of people trying to grow a garden and being told they can't. It's BS. It should be a human right to be able to fully own land and do what you want on it.
