Everyone must know that family guy Volume 1 (Season 1 & 2) is being released today, April 15.

But I just found out that family guy Volume 2 is being released September 9, 2003, on Amazon for $37.49 and also at buy.com

Another thing, reading a recent April 9th interview of Seth MacFarlene - the creator of Family Guy - he said that Cartoon Network will start airing Family Guy Reruns. Also he still seems to keep hope that FamilyGuy will be back, other than that he has a lot of other projects and a animated movie he is working on.

Sorry, I had posted at FW too, but this stupid referral thing is confusing, I don't know how it ends up happening.

Anyways, lets get Family Guy to a higher sales rank.

I hope the enourmous DVD sales helps it comeback on the air, always hope.

Has this ever happened with a tv series?

They just started putting TV shows onto DVDs, there's always a first for everything.

I'm not going to order season 2 until about september, it was hard enough waiting for the first season to be released when I ordered it last month.

They probably had to make room for "The [insert black comedian here] Show."

According to epguides.com, only 1 episode went unaired.

Anyway, I have every episode on a DVD+R, but now I must buy the vol1 set today :)

"The Family Guy" is going to be played on Cartoon Network during their "Adult Swim" programming, starting this Sunday at 11:30pm, after "Futurama" (http://www.adultswim.com/). Maybe if there's enough response, Cartoon Network will order more episodes- that's what happened with "Home Movies". It was on UPN for 6 episodes before it got cancelled. CN bought those and those that were not shown, and comissioned new episodes to be made.

I don't think so- the schedule on the website has programs and times. Hopefully they won't drop any, just spread them out more so they won't have to repeat shows so quickly (which happens when a program is aired 5 times a week).

I'm picking it up at Best Buy today ($35.99). Would've ordered online and got it a bit cheaper but I want it in my hands today. :)

I'll be buying Volume 2 as well. Really hope the DVD release and the Cartoon Network airings bring the show back. IMO it's the best animated show of all time period.

Just grabbed it at the local Best Buy. FYI for those interested in this great DVD set...

1. It was not available at the local Target
2. It was not available at the local Wal Mart
3. It was not available at any local Blockbuster
4. It was not in the "new releases" section @ Best Buy. Had to find it in the TV/box sets section. Apparently it's still getting no respect.

Price was $35.99+ tax

uhhhhmmmm, if im not mistaken, there are only 2 black comedian shows on FOX, Cedric ( not that funny unfortunately ), and Bernie Mack.

I didn't know they were over their quota for being on a 'mainstream' network. You know, i think i agree with you though, maybe they should drop cedric, and cut bernie to a 15 minute 'quickie', that way we can have another smutty show to watch, YAY! :disgust:

Edit: Whoops, forgot that they also have Wanda Sikes. Oh hell yes, they are way over their quota, time to sell off the shows to UPN and WB, right? I however think they have too many [Insert White Drama] shows on those networks, what's your opinion?

god i love sarcasm
