How many seasons did the show air? Is this all of them, or are there more?

amazing how this show made the simpsons look tame.
i hated it at first, (crappy american animation w/ crude characters being a major factor)
but man, the script was sooo good, i came around to appreciate the show.
if you watch the show tho, it's not suprising why it got the ax, i mean talk about a free for all! thanks for the deal

Ditto. I didn't like this show at first either, it seemed forced, but it won me over pretty quickly. Special Olympics ep is one of my favorites, but so very very wrong. :D

i think they promoted it terribly. they tried to make stewie a gimick and that was their flaw. the BEST cartoon IMO! Even The Critic makes me laugh harder than the simpsons. i HATE the past few seasons of the simpsons, they need som new writers that will restore the original entertainment factor of the simpsons.

it is too cartoony right now. anyone want to start a petition to get Family Guy back on the air with original cast members?

Comedy Central should pick this show up. What are they thinking? It's a gold mine waiting to be unearthed.

BTW, my thoughts on the other network stations not picking up Family Guy: I think most of them realize the popularity and potential, however, several the largest advertisers had dropped support all-together for Family Guy long ago during the Fox ages... all this because MacFarlane's old high school princible hated the kid and would not have it that he become successful (more on that controversy here)
Additionally, and I'm not sure if this is true or not, I hear the overhead required was insane... something like a million per episode. Now, I'm not saying that FOX execs aren't assh*les (b/c they ARE) for plotting & setting forth the demise of the show shortly after being put on the air even DESPITE it's great initial success (by moving it to sh*tty time-slots and constantly changing these time-slots to further confuse viewers), but there are just other obstacles that are KEEPING it off the air unfortunately.

There were FOUR seasons. Fox resurrected it in the Spring of 2002 - I don't believe it lasted the entire season, though. But on Kazaa there ARE 4xx episodes. Hopefully the Season 3&4 discs contain the Season 4 eps that never aired.

IMHO the only show funnier then Family Guy was Duckman. Gonna have to keep my eye on these DVDs...

grummit, i thought Duckman was just O.K. i didnt think it was all that funny. IMO, it's Family Guy, The Critic, The Simpsons (i'm undecided between simpsons and King of the Hill).

The fact that, King of the Hill, which is not humorous to most the people I know is still on the air, while Family Guy was pulled is what always urked me. Good insight on the anti-advertiser compaign. I didn't know about that.

King of the Hill to me (like the simpsons) is more for entertainment although there is times when i might smirk at the jokes.
