Family friendly places in Vegas?

My parents wants to drive to the Vegas next weekend. No gambling or illicit activities of the sort, just see the sights. So they asked me to find a good deal for them. I searched through ATOT and fatwallet, and there is several terms I don't understand. What's the strip? Old Vegas vs new Vegas? Can we go to the shows without staying in that hotel or is there just a fee? What is there to do besides sinning (gambling) and sinning (women)?

If you got any family oriented suggestions, please post them. And also post any Vegas deal websites besides http://www.cheapovegas.com/index.php. Thanks.

Haha, I know it's the city of sin. That's what I told my parents. But they still wants to go, and I know they are not into that kind of stuff. Comon people, there has to be family stuff in Vegas.

i like both of those things, so i guess im going to hell because im just one big sinner!

Las Vegas isn't known as "Sin City" for no reason. Everywhere you go you will witness evil and debauchery. You might be more fulfilled going to Disneyland or a marine park. Otherwise, just drive down the main drag after dark and keep going so Satan doesn't taint you.

Good luck.

For good wholesome entertainment, I'd say they should go to the Crazy Horse for a little bareback fun and then maybe north of county line to visit the chicken ranches.

they hand out porno fliers on the street... and since you hate sinning... dont walk on the streets of vegas...

you can see whatever shows you want, you just gotta pay, you can go up in the mini effiel tower for like 12 bucks i think it is...

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. So the Good Lord will never find out. Sin it up!

what do you mean by shows? If you are talking about those free shows then no there's no fees. But if you are talking about the pay ones, then you don't have to stay at the hotel to see them.

There's not a whole lot to do at vegas besides gambling etc. You can just walk the whole vegas strip and sight see the hotels etc.

Old Vegas is mostly just cheap gambling nothing sight seeing wise. The Newer part of Vegas is were all the nice hotels and good shows are. Check out one of the Cirque Du Soleil shows http://www.lasvegas-nv.com/cirque-du-soleil.htm theres a few of them going on. The big MnM store lots of candy is always good. Shopping outlets maybe? Hoover damn. Oh and theres a whole lot of good buffets in the hotels there, great food

Contrary to what these other idiots are saing there are tons of things that are family oriented in Vegas, You have rollercoasters at at least 3 hotels, Lord knows how many shows without nudity (Cirque,Celine,Elton,Wayne Newton, Lance Burton) You have Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire State Park, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, I could go on and on.

Almost alll of teh casinos are tourist attractions, walking through one and looking at all the sights is already pretty good. If you are looking for activities, there are various amusement part rides. Stratosphere has a little amusement park inside. Dont forget the Gondola ride in The Venetian.

Are these rides expensive or similar priced to Six Flags?

Uh, pretty expensive, I'd say. Example: The roller coaster at New York, New York will run you $10 per ride.

He speaks the truth. There's a lot to do outside of the city (Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam are always favorites).

Plus, it's fun to just walk around and experience the different atmospheres. I'm not of gambling age and have been to LV with my parents loads of times. Some of the newer, nicer resorts have indoor gardens (Bellagio), art galleries, etc. Some of the early-90s ones are more themed (Excalibur, New York New York). Now I can't say you won't see a slot machine while you do it, but there are tourist traps everywhere.

Im going to open a new hotel there.

and call it SinSquare

Sin Squared......Sin (gambling) and Sin (women), It'll be a huge mall type place where you can sin all day.

everyone tried to make it family friendly about a decade ago, but it didn't work out so well...

so they returned to what works...

but.... there is still stuff to do that is family friendly... your parents can check out shows 'n' stuff... and circus circus is somewhat family friendly i would say... probably the most family friendly hotel i know...
