False positive? PSU testers says no 2.0V on motherboard connector

Edit: User error / PEBKAC - see post below

I used a 5-6 year old Rosewill RTK-PSU power supply tester for the first time in 5-6 years, on my shiny new Seasonic 650 Prime Titanium. As expected the 5V and 12V were perfect but it claims there is no 2V power coming from the motherboard 24-pin connector.

I'm leaning towards ignoring this since a quick search turns up people saying these PSU testers go bad.

What would the symptoms be if there really is a problem with the 2V output of the Seasonic?

I think that you mean 3.3V? I don't know what all uses that voltage, not much, really.

What does your BIOS "PC Health" screen say?

D'oh! I should have RTFM before using the tester since it's been 5+ years.

The "2V2" indicator is for the +12V from the 8-pin CPU power. The tester expected me to plug in both the 24-pin MB power and the 8-pin CPU. As expected the Seasonic was fine once I used the tester properly :)
