*false alarm* sorry..Win32/Keylogger.E.Trojan found in PowerArchiver 2001

Just thought I'd pass this on in case anyone was using this software. I have been using it for a while, and Computer Associates just came out with new definitions that detect the parcse.dat file as carrying this trojan.

There is a chance of course that this is a false positive, but after doing some research on Google, I found that another virus scanner was also picking up this trojan in this file, and also that a trojan has been reported to cnet downloads from this program.

Man, that's uncool. I haven't had PowerArchiver installed for a while though.

Thanks a lot for the headsup. That is not cool. I use it right now. Can't find any info on the virus. Anyone have any info on it?

Sorry for the false alarm folks, looks like my suspicion that it was a false positive was right.

The file you have sent us has been confirmed to be clean. The detection you have observed is a false alarm. Detection for this file has been fixed in signature 23.57.1. Attached with this email is the update file for InoculateIT 6, WinNT/2000. Please email us again if you need the update file for another OS.
