Fallout New Vegas is $29 on Direct2Drive.com w/ code LOAD15. Game requires Steam, so know when you buy it that you will just get a code to enter into your Steam account, which, depending on who you are, is a good thing or a bad thing.

Awesome game, great price, and it comes with the graphic novel penned by the lead developer from Obsidian.

Just noticed that D2D apparently price matches a few sites, including Steam. When did they start that?
Edit: Never mind, found the answer: Program valid November 17 thru December 31, 2010

fyi: gamestop will have the regular version for $29 BF. Not a big fan of gamestop but for those who prefer hard copy and want it this week that might be a reasonable route to go.
(I'm kind of busy with another game and by the time i have to actually play I'm sure the price will be much lower; also I'm really not a big fan of gamestop even if it is on sale)

I havn't purchased a boxed game in a while. Can you still sell games when done or are they locked in to Steam? for example could I sell the boxed Fallout New Vegas once I'm done with it?

New Vegas is locked to Steam, so even if you buy a boxed copy, you have to add it to your Steam account for it to run.

So if you get the hard copy version of the game and register it through STEAM, can you then in the future simply download the game via STEAM without the disks?

Yes, it gets attached to your Steam account just as if you had purchased it directly from Valve.

all you initially need is the key and then after that the game will always be in your account and ready to dl.

Oh, Happy Day! I was waiting for the seasonal sales to pick this one up; even if there's a lower price later on, I couldn't wait...

It's mine!

thanks, OP!:D

Why is that? What do they have against Hong Kong or any other place it is not available for ?

I always wondered why is so difficult to make games accessible to everyone around the world and not just limited locations ? Makes no sense and it is totally stupid.

how much will I be in the dark if I try to play this w/o playing the original fall out??

All of the Fallout games stand alone really well. If you've played previous installments, there may be characters or references from previous games that you might get, but they never take away from the experience. Usually they take place 50-100 years apart, so you won't be in the dark at all.

I don't know, licensing deals or some crap. In another thread there was AOE 3 for 10 cents but my Games for Windows Live is tied to the US and I can't change it. So I can't buy it since I do not have a credit card with a US address. It's ridiculous. The only one that I have no problems with is Steam and GOG. There have only been a few games in Steam that were not offered for my region but I ended up getting them eventually (XCom) and the rest of the games are usually the UK version instead of the US but I haven't had any problems with that either.
