Fallout Collection

I have all the fallout games in their individual original release versions, but I see that gogamer has the recently released compilation collection on sale. Has this been tuned to work better in xp/vista, or is it simply the originals stamped onto a single CD?

GOG is a direct to drive download and there is no CD. The games are Vista compatible and updated with the latest patches...I bought Fallout 1 a little while ago and it works fine.

I believe lupi is referencing this item at GoGamer.com, which is a retailer of boxed games. You're thinking of Good Old Games, the recent startup at Gog.com.

<edit> Oh, and if this is the version I think it is, it looks like it was originally released in 2002, so it very well may not be optimized for Vista. </edit>

ahh gotcha...yeah it looks like its the older version...they havent re-released it so I doubt it'll work with vista...with my previous post i would recommend GOG 🙂

Fallout 1 runs on Vista for me, but I have some fan patches (including the resolution patch)

I've started Fallout 2 the other day, and was trying to decide whether to use the patch. Is it stable?

I didn't get that much play time in before I moved on to another game, I was mostly checking to see if it worked.
